It only took 8 years for Nintendo to release an official Wii Remote Charger.
Along with a new battery for the Wii U GamePad, new Nintendo Land Bundles and a Premium White Wii U, Nintendo has also announced a Quick Charge Set for Wii Remotes.
The Wii Remote Charging set will contain a new battery pack for your Wii Remote which features new dock to sit and charge a Wii Remote on it. The pack also comes with a Wii Remote condom, strap and another charger. It’s the same charger as the Nintendo 3DS, which seems like a totally stupid idea, but its 2013 and Nintendo are just now releasing a battery pack for the Wii? More power to them. The whole set costs 4200 Yen or about $44AUD.
You can also buy additional charge packs without the dock and charger by itself for 2,625 Yen or about $26AUD.
The Wii Remote Charger Set will be released in Japan on July 13th. We’ll let you know if it’s ever heading out to Australia.
