Nvidia has scrapped plans to update its Shield Tablet range with an FCC filing this week revealing “for business reasons, the product has been canceled.”
While Nvidia doesn’t elaborate more on the cancellation, it’s possible Nvidia are doing so because of the Nintendo NX which is said to have a similar form factor.
Nvidia have had multiple Shield Tablets, but the idea is the same. A high powered portable tablet with a seperate controller.
