US gaming chain GameStop has revealed in its quarterly financial results the attach rate for the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. The Wii has been revealed to have an attach rate of 3.0, this means for every Wii sold people are buying 3 games with it on average. Not surprisingly Zelda and Red Steel were the top sellers.
The PS3 attach rate is 1.5, which can be attributed to the fact people are only buying the hardware and sticking it on eBay. While these figures are only for GameStop and EB Games stores, they do make up a large portion of the gaming market in the US.
