Nintendo Q1 results in, as expected profits are up

by Daniel VuckovicJuly 29, 2008

Nintendo has released Quarter 1 financial figures and as expected the company is sitting pretty; and sitting on a wad of money. According to Reuters, quarterly profit was up 31.5 percent; no doubt due to the Wii and its continued flurry of sales. Operating profit rose to 119.2 billion yen from 90.63 billion yen last time around and Nintendo has now sold 29.62 million Wii and 77.54 Million Nintendo DS units. However, despite all this success, Nintendo is keeping its operating profit forecast a steady 530 million yen.
