Nintendo Points Cards on the way for Australia

Nintendo Points – the new currency for Wii and DS transactions will be available in Australia from April 2nd, the very same day the DSi hits shelves. For those confused, Nintendo Points replace the existing Wii Points, providing a shift towards a universal payment scheme for all Nintendo systems downloadable content. Unfortunately, the cards are redeemable for one console only- if you use your points card for DSi downloads, the points value will become DSi points and likewise for Wii downloads. Our source currently lists 1000 point cards only, but we expect the 2000 and 3000 denominations are on the way.
