Good news sports fans! Some more information was released about the upcoming 3DS eShop title Nintendo Pocket Football Club. If you are not familiar with the premise of this game, it is a soccer simulation where you are tasked with creating and managing your own football club.

The aim of the game is to build you team up and work your way from the lowest division in your country up to the top division, where you compete for you nations top honour and even participate in international matches. There are two ways to improve your team.

First, you can try to sign new players with better skills than what your existing ones have or you can improve your posse through training. Every match your team plays you get a training card to apply to a player that will improve a certain aspect of their game.

You can even combine cards that unlock special combos that improve training even more. Another feature is the ability to send players amongst friends. So if I have a player that you like, I can send him over to you to use on your team.

The best part about this is that shared players are exactly that; you get to keep your player and so does your friend. A full website will also be available to access on web browsers where you can access different data, such as your team stats, your friends and your rivals teams and even worldwide rankings by country.

Nintendo Pocket Football Club will be available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Australia on April 18th 2014.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
