Nintendo pick up 6 awards at the IEAA Awards
More than 350 game industry professionals were joined by hosts Merrick and Rosso to celebrate the top games of 2006 at the Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia awards recently.
Nintendo didnt do too bad, picking up 6 awards for their efforts. Twilight Princess got the awards for Nintendo Game of the Year and Best Selling RPG while Nintendogs got the awards for Girls Game of the Year and Best Selling Simulator.
Rest of Nintendo’s and a full list of awards inside! The awards Nintendogs were for two different versions however, with Dachshund and Friends getting the Girls Game award and Dalmatian and Friends picking up the Best Seller award.
Wii Sports got the award for Most Innovative Game of the Year, which it rightfully deserves and Rosemarie Lappin was awarded the Industry Identity of the Year. Lappin is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo Australia if you were wondering who she is.
