Nintendo offer Wii wrist strap replacements
Several people have been complaining about the rather weak wrist straps that have been shipping with the Wiimote controllers, which have been known to snap when in the hands of an over excited player. It seems that Nintendo have heard their pleas and are going to replace 3.2 million wrists straps. The new straps will be almost twice as thick and it is expected the replacements will cost Nintendo several million dollars.

Nintendo is offering Americans and Canadians the chance to replace the straps and may order up to 4 from this online form. We did a quick poll around here at Vooks and between our collective Wiimotes about 60% have the weak straps, however Nintendo Australia has yet advise us to what option us Aussies have but if you feel worried give Nintendo a call.
