During a new press conference in Japan, licensing director for Nintendo, Shinji Hatano, has revealed that the Virtual Console service has generated 3.5 billion Japanese yen for the company since launch. The 3.5 billion has been generated from 7.8 million downloaded items. Sadly, no details where revealed about the most popular console or games, but if the popular titles on the Wii Shopping channel are anything to go by, wed guess something with Mario in it would be close to the top.
