The Nintendo 3DS in Japan has been smashing it as of late (no pun intended) and things are looking up.

Nintendo have just issued a press release to let everyone know that the Nintendo 3DS now has four titles in the last 5 month that have sold over 2 million copies.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha joins, Youkai Watch, Monster Hunter 4G and Super Smash Bros on the multi-million sellers list for the year. The fourth title to do so in just 5 months.

Not only that but Youkai Watch 2.5 could also join the club upon its release to make it 5 titles in 6 months. Level-5 say they will unleash Youkai Watch on western audiences in 2015.

The Nintendo 3DS now surpasses the Nintendo DS and Wii with titles exceeding two million copies sold. We’re sure however there’s more titles on those consoles with much more sales than 2 million.

Dedicated portable gaming isn’t dead yet folks.
