Nintendo will be back at Gamescom in 2013. After skipping the conference last year, Nintendo will be back to show off the latest Wii U and 3DS wares from August 21st to 25th in Cologne, Germany later this year.
Nintendo said last year they weren’t attending because they were going to run their own events through Europe. With all the trouble the Wii U is having at the moment, perhaps they thought they couldn’t afford not to go this year.
Gamescom are happy to have Nintendo back for 2013 telling MCV that “Nintendo’s return is an absolute highlight for our community, exhibitors and trade visitors from around the world.”.
Nintendo wasn’t the only company to miss Gamescom last year, Microsoft didn’t take the Xbox 360 there either. It should be different in 2013 with all three of the new consoles ready and pumping leading in Holiday 2013.
