Following the sad passing of Satoru Iwata just two months ago Nintendo has been running in caretaker mode, until now.
Tatsumi Kimishima has been announced as the new president of Nintendo Co., Ltd. Kimishima has previously been the president of Nintendo of America and more recently the Managing Director of Nintendo Co., Ltd since April 2013.
Kimishima has been at Nintendo for more than 15 years and has worked not only just at Nintendo America and in Japan but also at The Pokemon Company and Pokemon USA.
Shigeru Miyamoto also has a newly created title called ‘Creative Fellow’ and Genyo Takeda is now the ‘Technology Fellow’. This just means that Miyamoto and Takeda are leaders of these respective pursuits at Nintendo.
