Nintendo giving away 100 custom Mario Tennis Aces charging stands to Japanese demo players

Japan-exclusive, but still very neat

The Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch tournament is just around the corner, and Nintendo is celebrating by giving Japanese players a little more incentive to check it out.

Japanese players who participate in the tournament will be automatically entered into the draw to win one of 100 custom Mario Tennis Aces charging stands. This is the same charging stand that Nintendo announced earlier this month, just in a slick neon yellow colour scheme reminiscent of a tennis ball — though it looks like it’ll pair pretty perfectly with Neon Yellow Joy-Con too.

Sadly, it seems to be a Japan-exclusive promotion at the moment, but there’s always a chance it’ll come to retail elsewhere, too. In any case, it’s cool to see Nintendo do cool little promotions like this, and it’ll be interesting to see what else they have in the store for future games.

The Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch tournament will take place over this weekend, you can view the full times here.
