by Daniel VuckovicJanuary 6, 2010

Satoru Iwata has confirmed that the next DS iteration will have a high resolution screen and motion sensing

In a new interview with Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, he has confirmed that the new Nintendo DS will indeed a have a high resolution screen and motion sensing to boot.

Will we see a revamped DSi body (pictured) or something new entirely?

No release date was mentioned; Iwata said that "In 2009, DS set its highest sales record ever in the U.S., so I won’t be talking about it." We don’t think we’ll see the next Nintendo DS just yet.
