The fast-food giant hopes to cut training times by 50%

Here in Australia and around the world, weve seen McDonalds and Nintendo team up to provide free Wi-Fi access to Nintendo DS users. Well, now McDonalds management in Japan have decided to bring Nintendo DS consoles to the other side of the counter as an employee training tool.

New part-time employees at Maccas will be trained through newly-developed software called "eSmart", which has cost around AU$2.5 million to develop. By February of next year, 3700 restaurants will have two DS consoles at their disposal.

McDonalds believes the familiarity of the DS will mean training times could be reduced by half compared to standard methods, saving costs in the long term.
