So for the past few weeks over Christmas and New Year I’ve been unable to do one of these updates, mainly because of the lack of content and the fact that it was holidays! So time to get back into it right, its 2013 the Wii U and 3DS eShops should be brimming with content again.
*opens eShop on Wii U and 3DS*
Oh… well then maybe it was a bit premature. There’s just the single solitary game that’s new to the 3DS eShop this week, the Wii U eShop gets some retail titles but you’re probably not interested.
Let’s take a look anyway;
Wii U eShop
– Sing Party (Out the 18th)
– NBA2K13
3DS eShop
– Tokyo Crash Mobs (Nintendo) – $7.80
This one is like Zuma, but with real people. No really it is, have a look at the trailer below. It’s not a bad game really.
My Wii U is gathering dust, so much dust.
It’s my day of lucky (groan). This dryspell is ridiculous and I say that because I’ve wanted Trine 2 since launch. $26 dollars in my Wii U eShop mocking me every time I go there. Is this an issue on our end eg. a very slow OFLC. As for the games, retail downloads selling higher then actual retail I will ignore. Tokyo Crash Mob however might find a home with my puzzle loving missus.Love the Japanese and their weird zany ideas.
If you combine the last three or four weeks of the 3DS eShop, it actually is brimming with content. 😉
Not the Wii U!
Wii U? I have enough reasons not to buy that console without getting outraged over the pathetic state of affairs in it’s eShop. :\
I know from past articles that the Australian OFLC is not all that easy to deal with. They are a government body that is slow to respond, act and also is considerably more expensive compared to other similar bodies in other regions. So for a publisher/developer wanting to release a game on the AU eShop, they really need to do a cost analysis to see if they are going to sell enough unites (games) to create enough revenue to justify the OFLC costs (on top of everything else).
By the way, is anyone getting Tokyo Crash Mob?
It’s at least $800 to classify a game. We’ll have a story on this soon.
It needs to change.
I don’t use the eShop a great deal but am keen on Trine 2. I am sure there are lots of other good titles as well, but just don’t get the time these days to play games.
Still no Trine 2. US gets Fire Emblem demo.
We suck.
Tokyo crash mobs actually looks awesome, this is a great week for me 😀
And yet the iTunes App Store somehow manages to avoid the of,c classification. Why can’t Nintendo take advantage of this loop hole???????
When was the last time we saw a game boy vc game, or a Nintendo classic (forget the proper name for them given the amount of time that has lapsed since one last came out!!
You mean the 3D Classics? That was only ever meant to be a six-game series, so I doubt we’ll ever see any more of them. Also, making a 3D Classics game took about as much time and effort as making a whole new eShop title, so I’d say they’re focusing those resources on new stuff.
No Trine 2 booo! 🙁
US gets Fire Emblem demo boooo!!! 🙁
