A smaller update this week, but the quality is much stronger.
So there are only two games out this week, but they’re both good. There’s also some great original content available on Nintendo Video as well—it’s a new Kid Icarus animation to watch!
3DS Virtual Console
Metroid (NES, Nintendo, $7.50) – Go back to where it all began. Samus’ first adventure out into the universe. If you’re an Ambassador you can update the game for free to the final version. If you’ve never tried the first Metroid title you owe it to yourself to give it a bash. It still holds up quite well.
Virtual Console
Strider (Mega Drive, SEGA, 800 Points) – One of the Mega Drive fans’ favourite titles, I will have take your word for how good it is though. Never played it before. Will you?
Nintendo Video
Kid Icarus: Uprising – Original 3D Animation Series – An original animation series from Nintendo for the 3DS, in 3D. Split over six weeks there will be a new instalment every two (they come in two parts). Thanatos Rising is the first episode.
