Nintendo claims 55% of November US video game system sales
Nintendo of America has just announced that according to sales data from the NPD, they have sold 55 percent of all video game systems in the month of November. The reason for this of course was the launch of the Wii and the Nintendo DS which topped the charts with massive amounts being sold.

The Wii sold nearly a million systems in the US despite shortages which are still in effect all over America. For the seven days it was on sale the Wii sold through 490,000 units only beaten out by the Xbox 360 and well ahead of the PS3.
Handhelds werent left out in the cold either with 920,000 DS Units sold as well as 642,000 units of the Gameboy Advance, both of those console outsold the PSP which only got just over 400k.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess ended up with 412,000 copies sold with a massive 87% of Wii buyers also purchasing the game, the highest rate for a launch title since Mario 64. The attach rate for Wii was approximately 2 games person even with Wii Sports bundled in.
