Nintendo Australia has sent word, they don’t have anymore GameCube Controller Adapters for the Wii U!
Previously the adapter had been available from them for just under $30. You could have also got the adapter in with a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U if you preordered or were lucky enough to find a bundle in stores.
Here’s the official quote;
[quote]Due to overwhelming demand, the GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U is no longer available to purchase from Nintendo Customer Service.[/quote]
We sure hope you didn’t delay, they’re going for not-so-cheap on eBay right now…
Update: We asked Nintendo if they would be getting any more at a later date. Got “Nothing to announce at this time” as an official response. So maybe?
