It’s no secret that games are expensive, sometimes more so than they usually should be. But according to an IGN AU report, that with the launch of the Wii, Nintendo AU will be offering some Wii titles at a lower price point. Wario Ware which goes on sale next week we know will carry a price of $79.95 but the Hudson developed titles of Wing Island and Kororinpa will also carry this price point along with two other games.
More inside!
The reason for this drop? Vispi Bhopti PR Guru at Nintendo Australia tells IGN that “”With the Wii and DS, we’re examining the audience demographics to figure out the best price-point with which to expand the market. We did that with our Touch Generations! games, and we’re going to be doing the same in the future with some Wii titles.””
With the pick up and play nature of same Wii titles, a $99.95 price point sometimes is not warranted and its good to see Nintendo picking this up early as having cheaper and more accessible games allows for more people to play them. Good news for us.
