Yesterday a quote from an article in The Age brought about some potential good news regarding Australian release dates for Nintendo games. The article, which was speaking to Nintendo Australia boss Rose Lappin, had quoted Ms Lappin as saying …the company [Nintendo] is working towards a schedule that would see no more than two week delays in titles for regions outside of Japan. More inside The quote was a little unclear and when we sought clarification from Nintendo Australia we learnt that The Age has misquoted Nintendo on the matter. Nintendo, however, has told Vooks today that we are currently making efforts to minimise the time needed for localisations, as we understand that the difference in worldwide release dates is frustrating to fans. So two weeks was never on the cards, but at least we know Nintendo is still working on it.
