Nintendo at EB Expo in Pictures – New 3DS, New 3DS Cover Plates, Amiibo and the huge GameCube adapter for Wii U

Nintendo’s presence at EB Expo this year was quite extraordinary. While it’s always great to get our hands on the newest games coming out and have fun with the old ones it’s not every day the a new console is on display and that console is only coming out to Australia this year. At least in English speaking countries.

So as along with Aaronn with writing up his impressions of the show and Nintendo’s display we also set our man Billy in to snap the New 3DS, Amiibo and more for you. We’ve all seen how the system looks in Nintendo’s photos but he’s some real life pictures of not only the console but the cover plates as well.

It’s all so shiny. Check them out below!

So it’s not the pratical function the important part? I mean, the PS3 adapter looks the same, you gotta have space to hook up 4 controllers…eh.

when I spoke to the one of the runners (I think he was the lead) he said the wood grain cover seen in pic 3 and 6 has a wood grain feel too.

Did you know, the M/Director of Ninty AUS was there on FRI I got to say hello and shake his hand and express my fandom of latest games to him. It was a really honor

This is a real put off to buy the adapter or even the controllers.
I probably have my old GameCube controllers lying around somewhere but I probably won’t use them if the adapter is that big and messy. I have enough cables everywhere and the harddrive attacked to my wii u already takes enough space. I also do really want the new GameCube controllers, but I wish they were wireless. I love the GameCube controller, but not because it had a cable.
