Nintendo has announced that the Super Nintendo Classic Edition / Mini will be released in America and Europe on September 29th. The system is $20 US more, but it does come with a second controller, shouldn’t have to worry about finding those at least.

We’ll have Australian details as soon as possible. Nintendo Australia have confirmed the local price will be $119.95 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition and the Nintendo USB AC Adapter, will be priced at $19.95. You won’t get the power adapter in the box, so be sure to plan accordingly.

The system will include 21 games including Earthbound, Yoshi’s Island, Donkey Kong Country and for the first time ever released, Star Fox 2. You’ll have to play through and complete the first level in Star Fox in order to unlock it.

It’s a pretty great list of titles, including some Super FX games that have had emulation hold-ups in the past.

  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • EarthBound
  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby™ Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Mega Man X
  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting

  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
