Nintendo America reveals Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition with Skull Kid figure

Nintendo of America has announced its very own limited edition for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
The bundle with come with the game of course and what Nintendo calls a ‘detailed’ Skull Kid figurine. There’s no size given as to how big the figure is but is pictured beside the box below. The game will retail in the US for $49.99, just $10 more than the standard copy which is also available.
This Limited Edition is completely different to the one we will be getting here in Australia and the one Europe will be getting as well. It’s just a shame that local retailers opened pre-orders on those without telling anyone and now are not taking anymore orders.
So which one do you prefer, the American limited edition with the figure or ours?

Really miffed that I missed getting a copy of the special edition. By the time I saw the poster in EB saying that preorders had opened it was already sold out. Wah. They must have opened preorders some time over the Christmas break where I was trying to avoid going to the shops at all costs…
I’m peeved too – you’d think they’d have sent out an email or something to let club members know. Not impressed
Pre-orders for the special edition opened around the same date as the new 3DS was released.
When I went to pick up my the new 3DS, the staff member at EBs asked if I wanted to pre-order the Majora’s Mask special edition – apparently he had already taken about 6 pre-orders for it already that morning.
I’ve been checking EB’s website daily since they announced it. I wasn’t too happy when I found out today I’d already missed out.
I’m really peeved about this too. I’d been in to my local store heaps of Xmas and the manager there knows I’m a huge Zelda fan. He also doesn’t like me – so I’m sure he forgot to mention it on purpose!!
I’m really surprised there wasn’t an email though!
What a travesty. Had been checking into EB’s website fairly regularly for updates on the special edition and they do this. No email prompt, no tweet from their official account, nothing.
Skullkid figure? Hmmm… I would prefer a small one to match the TWW HD Ganon preorder figure and the Toon Link Amiibo. By the look of it, the 3DS case is probably the same size as the base (likely how they’ll bundle the box), so I guess I’m not that sussed.
