New trailer shows off new power-ups and the return of a character

A new trailer for Super Mario Galaxy 2 has hit the internet as has the next batch of hands-on impressions from the world’s media. While the trailer reveals the return of Rosalina from the first Super Mario Galaxy it also shows off new power-ups including the previously leaked Cloud Mario, Co-Star mode which is the new and improved co-op mode and also two new ways to help you through the game.

While Super Mario Galaxy 2 won’t have the Super Guide that New Super Mario Bros Wii had, the game does have Hint TV and Cosmic Guide. Hint TV shows you via a small TV screen in game how to complete an area, whereas Cosmic Guide (who resembles Rosalina) only appears if you die a number of times. If you use the Cosmic Guide you’ll only get a Bronze Star instead of the usual gold.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is still without a release date for Australia, but rumours suggest June 10.
