This new HORI Nintendo Switch stand/USB hub is pretty awesome

Accessory maker HORI already makes a pretty sweet stand for the Switch. It’s small and lifts up the Switch so it can be charged in table-top mode. Now they’re taking it one step further with a new stand.

The Portable USB Hub stand (for table-top) is a Switch stand that also has a USB hub built in. It might look like a dock, but it doesn’t output any video.

This allows you to stand your Switch on a table, have it charge (using the official charger) and also add a keyboard, wired controller or USB Ethernet adapter. It seems perfect for LAN players who might not want to lug a TV around. The stand can lean back to a number of angles and is completely foldable.

Because it’s also made by HORI and officially licensed, its also unlikely to blow up your Switch like many other 3rd party docks have been doing.

The stand is available to pre-order now from Amazon JP, it’ll be out at the end of May. It’ll set you back around $50AUD.

Which software is using keyboard input? I was hoping to use a mouse in Thimbleweed Park, but couldn’t get it working.

So its a 4 port (assuming) usb hub with no ability to connect to a tv… seems like a waste of money to me, if it had a HDMI port that would have been good as a portable dock and table top device… heck even doubling as a portable storage would have been great but nope this is just a plasticated USB hub. THey keyboard feature is hardly worth mentioning as I a pretty sure you can us a keyboard right now without this stand.

Seems like hori needs to lift its game.
