The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu has revealed a new Harvest Moon game is in the works for 3DS.

Harvest Moon: Linking the New World will be released in Japan next February and is produced by Yoshifumi Hashimoto. The game’s character design will be handled by Igusa Matsuyama.

The name of the title is based on the trading players will be able to do with other countries within the game world. This new entry in the series will allow exportation of items, include safari expeditions, and aims to make field work a whole lot easier. StreetPass functionality features, along with the usual pastimes and goals such as fishing and marriage. Development of the title is currently 80 percent complete.
