Nintendo Japan has updated it Virtual Console page with information that Neo Geo games are heading to Japanese Virtual Console sometime in 2007, the MSX now also has this same date.

The Neo Geo was a cartridge based system from 1990 made by developer SNK. A very expensive console for its time, the Neo Geo was home to such games the Samurai Showdown Series, Metal Slug Series, King of Figthers, Fatal Fury and many other arcade to home conversions. Check it out on Nintendo’s site. No word at all if its heading to the US, UK or Australia yet.
