The next Need for Speed game will be heading in a different direction after the disappointment of last years ProStreet entry, says EA. Speaking at a presentation to industry analysts, EA Games President Frank Gibeau said that the reason perhaps for the sluggish sales for Pro Street was the game had drifted too far away from what people expect from the Need for Speed Franchise. More inside Gibeau has promised that the game will be returning to its roots with a number of new features with a switch back to open world racing and a new highway battle mode. EA should hopefully remember to add the police back in, which have been missing from the game (Excluding Most Wanted) for nearly 5 years. More on NFS08 as it happens.
