An Activision rep revealed a load of new details about their 2009 line-up at the Massive Incorporated advertising up-front. One of the details reported was that one of Activision’s new games, code-named “”Racer 2009″”, was described as “”Mario Kart meets Forza.”” While the game will look realistic, “”Racer 2009″” will have item pick-ups on the tracks. An example was a nitrous item that you could drive through to gain a speed boost. More inside It is not yet known whether or not the game will feature items designed to engage the enemy like Mario Kart did. Things like shells, lightning bolts, banana peels may not have suitably realistic counterparts that can be incorporated. Activision refuses to comment on the details discussed at the Massive Event at this time.
