In an announcement that will come as a surprise to many, Monster Hunter Stories will be releasing in the West in Spring of 2017.

The game was released in October of last year in Japan, though we have no word yet on whether the amiibo released alongside the game in Japan will also reach the West. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

This makes me unreasonably happy 🙂
I seem to remember it didn’t do as well as hoped in Japan, so honestly I’m surprised this is happening, but I really hope it does.

They’d be idiots NOT to release the amiibo, since I can’t imagine the localisation cost of that being even remotely comparable to localizing game dialogue, text etc.

Okay.. so I was waiting for the game announcement for the Amiibo. Where they at Nintendo/Capcom? I was about to import them next week but I’d rather buy locally if possible and support my friendly EB team.

They announced 10 other Amiibo a I had to preorder today – why not another 6 more?
