Capcom has released a trailer for a new game in the Monster Hunter series named Monster Hunter Stories, at Monster Hunter Festa in Japan.
It looks to be a drastic change in visual style compared to the mainline games, and also promises an entirely different gameplay experience. Monster Hunter Stories appears to be a more traditional JRPG style of game, so we can expect a story to tie together all the monster hunts.
The trailer shows the new visual style, showcasing what we can assume to be a player character, their felyne friend and a ferocious looking Tigrex.
The game is set for a 2016 release in Japan, but there has been no word on a Western release thus far.
