Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Gets Off-TV Play, Online Region Lock Removed In Upcoming Patch

Looks like complaining on the internet has paid off again. Capcom has announced that an upcoming patch for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will remove the region lock during online multiplayer.

Now European and Australian players will be able to hunt alongside Americans from April.

The patch will also add the ability to play the game entirely on the GamePad with Off-TV play. Yeah they announced a patch before the games release.

In other Monster Hunter related news, the online multiplayer ‘app’ that allows the 3DS version of the game to play online via a Wii U will also be coming to Australia and Europe.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be out in Australia on the 3DS and Wii U on the 23rd of March.

Glad to see that app is hitting the Wii U. Although im presuming most people who own a Wii U will likely buy the Wii U version, and only the 3DS version for its portability.

I guess if people only buy one it will come down to what they want more.. HD graphics or portability?

Shame that there is only $10 difference between the 3DS and Wii U version. Would be awesome to have a double pack with a discount?
