As part of the Pokémon business strategy presentation, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda revealed Pokémon Home, a smartphone app that will connect players’ Pokémon across devices and games.
Masuda-san spoke about how players have been transferring Pokémon from the Game Boy Advance titles, right through to the Nintendo 3DS games. Following this, he announced Pokémon Home, a cloud-based service that will allow you to connect with other players, in addition to managing your Pokémon collection from a single device.
Scant few details were shown about how exactly the service will operate, but an image shown during the presentation confirmed that Home will work between Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Go, and the Nintendo Switch titles Let’s Go plus the upcoming Sword and Shield.
Pokémon Home will launch in early 2020, allowing you to transfer and trade Pokémon from your mobile devices from the one place.
