Metro: Last Light no longer coming to Wii U, was never in development

Remember when THQ said Metro: Last Light was coming to the Wii U? Well now it's probably not.

We hope you weren’t getting too excited about Metro: Last Light coming to the Wii U. It looks like the game isn’t coming to Nintendo’s upcoming system. In fact, it wasn’t ever in development for it.

Speaking to Digital Spy, THQ’s Global Brand Manager has revealed the game ‘could’ still coming to the Wii U but it’s no longer confirmed for the system. It’s been ‘unconfirmed’.

So why did Nintendo show it at E3 last year in the show reel? Perhaps they were a bit to eager to show it off?  “No I don’t think it was a bit too early. As we got along in the development process, we just really wanted to focus on what we knew, focus on PS3, 360 and PC” Looks like they’re going to finish the game on the consoles they’re working on at the moment and then see if they’ll do a Wii U version.

Well that just might be the first time a game got ‘unconfirmed’ before a systems release. Fills us with confidence.
