Last month we learned about some very special downloadable content coming to Mario Kart 8. In a promotional licensing arrangement the new Mercedes GLA was coming as a DLC cart in Mario Kart 8 in Japan. Now Nintendo have confirmed that every region will be getting the content.
The ‘GLA-class kart’ aka the Mercedes Benz GLA-class SUV will be coming to Mario Kart 8 sometime this winter in Australia. In Japan the content is free, so it should be here as well. Otherwise it may just be the cheapest Mercedes you ever buy.
The most exciting thing about this announcement however is the fact that Mario Kart 8 has the ability for DLC and new cars. That could also mean new tracks or characters could come to the game later as well.
One thing that won’t be coming to Australia though is that creepy looking ‘real life’ Mario.
