Believe it or not Mario Tennis Open is only just over a month away now and more details of the game have been revealed. People have even been able to check it out at PAX East which took place this weekend as well. The focus of the new trailer Nintendo put out is on the new special games that have been included with the new title.
You’ll be playing Super Mario Bros with a Tennis racquet, taking off into the Galaxy to play against a Luma and more traditional games like the ring shot return. Good news for those who like to play online too as the game has worldwide leaderboards for those who play Open Match. Up to four players can play multiplayer double matches as well. You’ll also be able to dress up your Mii in different outfits with themed outfits.
Mario Tennis Open doesn’t have a release date yet for Australia but is due out on the 20th of May in America, the 25th of May in Europe and the 24th of May in Japan. So hopefully we get a release date sometime around then.
Looks interesting. I’m kinda ashamed to say I have never really got into a Mario Tennis game before :\
It doesn’t look it will, but was hoping it had the RPG element from the GBC/GBA games. That was awesome.
I liked the Golf ones better myself, but Tennis looks ace.
