In a surprise classification by the OFLC today, Mario Kart Wii has now earned its ratings wings and has been given a G rating like every Mario Kart before it. Nintendo Australia has yet to set a date for the online enabled racer but if the UK schedule is anything to go by we should have the racer sometime in the first half of the year. However, Games like Battalion Wars which were classified months ago, are still yet to be released. Nevertheless, if the GameCube and DS launches of Mario Kart are any indication then we should see a worldwide simultaneous launch. If only Nintendo held the same vigilance with a certain popular mascot fighter.
