Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the fastest-selling Mario Kart game in America, ever

Nintendo of America has announced that it has sold 459,000 copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on its first day on sale in the Americas. Nintendo says this makes it the “the fastest-selling game in the long-running Mario Kart series.” It surpasses even Mario Kart Wii which sold through 433,900 on its first day back in 2008

This figure includes both physical and digital copies. The attach rate for the game is now 47% meaning nearly every one in two Switch owners has the game already.

I’ll probably be ripped to shreds for having an opinion that differs from the bulk of the masses, but, I’ve been struggling to get into this game since getting my copy last week, I’ve even reverted back to playing Mario Kart Wii a few times.
To me Mario Kart 8 deluxe just feels like an average clone of the best ever Mario Kart clone… Sonic all-stars racing transformed, I’m talking about you!

Interesting, I’d agree Sonic all-stars has some meaty racing guts and merit to it. i bought the WiiU version of that. That game coulda been great with some more polish and refinement.
Nice weighty physics in Sonics racer
