The Majora’s Mask toting Skull Kid to assist in Smash Bros.

Majora's Mask in HD... sort of.

by Daniel VuckovicDecember 6, 2013

We don’t usually cover each small Super Smash Bros update, but since its this guy – we’ll make an exception. Today’s update has revealed that the Skull Kid will be making an appearance as an Assist Trophy in the new game.

Sadly, he’s no playable character a fact that Masahiro Sakurai points out the in accompanying Miiverse post.

It also just makes us want anything new in regards to Majora’s Mask.

Pic of the day. Here’s a new Assist Trophy–the Skull Kid! I repeat, it’s an Assist Trophy, not a new fighter. The characters announced on the website are the fighters![/quote]

Quite frankly I don’t see why he _couldn’t_ be a playable character 🙁

I’d have still prefered Midna as a playable character.

Or maybe some small-time Zelda characters as a playable single character, like Medli, Saria, Midna and Fi team-up. Saria as the movement character, Medli sitting on Saria’s shoulders and providing the double jump, Fi on offense and Midna on defense and teleporting.
