Not terribly long after being unmasked in November, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D has been given a release date of February 14th in today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

After years of hints and fan speculation, Majora’s Mask 3D was finally confirmed to be in development in a Nintendo Direct presentation this past November.

Originally appearing on Nintendo 64, Majora’s Mask was the follow-up to the 1998 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It received a mixed reception from players and some critics, thanks to its central time limit mechanic, but its darker themes proved a hit with fans.

Alongside the game, a special edition New Nintendo 3DS XL model will be offered. It will be available at ‘select retailers’ and looks like this; we do not get the game in the console.

There was also a new trailer released alongside the Direct and a presentation with Aonuma in Japanese. You might not be able to tell what he’s talking about but you can see the game in action.
