Link is the most popular amiibo everywhere in the world except Australia

In Australia and New Zealand, Mario is #1!

Nintendo has revealed just what are the most popular amiibo figures from around the globe and which ones have sold through the most.

Without a doubt Link takes the crown topping the charts in all regions but Australia and New Zealand. Mario instead is number one here and Link falls to second position. From this data you can also gather just which ones Nintendo shipped the most.

The second chart is sell through, and that means how many Nintendo sold percentage wise of the figures they did create. This chart features more of the ‘rarer’ figures because of this.

Are you surprised by any of these rankings and do they match up with what you bought? Let us know in the comments below.

    Grrr again.

    That is hilarious.

Sonic made it into the top 5 here AND NOWHERE ELSE.

More proof this country is anti-Nintendo, full of Sega-apologists to boot.

Given that whatever landed on the shelves was sold pretty fast, all that chart really shows is how much stock was shipped to Australia…

Are they sure they’re the most sold not the most shipped? Everywhere I go, it’s Mario and Pikachu on the shelf. Seems like they can’t get rid of them.

The only store I can find nearby that still has amiibos on display only has Mario and Pikachu.

I would love to see the number of units of each shipped. As said above, Mario is the most sold because it is in every store. Heck I have one Amiibo and its Mario because other than Pikachu it was the only one I could find.

Sonic isn’t even released in Europe and probably America.

The fact that Mario and Pikachu top the Australian list and yet there are still stacks of them on our shelves should tell you something.

Or that ours seems to have a piss-coloured ‘crystal’ holding him up.

Stuck in the same position of having only seen Mario and Pickachu recently. Only have 6 Amiibos so far due to their scarcity.
