Nintendo Australia has confirmed that the Limited Edition, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL will be coming to Australia.

Like Europe it will be released on the same day as the game which is November 23rd here in Australia. The bundle includes a digital download code for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

It will retail for $269.95 however it will only be available through EB Games. Exclusive it seems. 3DSXLAU

Is it a separate download code or is it preinstalled on the console? EB doesn’t say on their store page.

If you do a system transfer from another 3DS XL to the Zelda edition will you still retain the digital copy of A Link Between Worlds that comes with the new console?

From my experience, yes (basically a system transfer will overwrite any duplicate purchases, if applicable, and you won’t have to redownload anything as long as you use the same SD card from the old 3DS system with the new 3DS XL system after performing the system transfer).

From my understanding, the digital copy won’t be pre-installed this time, as a download code will be included in the box. If you wish to exercise extra caution, you can wait until after you’ve performed the system transfer before redeeming the download code.

Ah cool, if it’s a download code then it’s no problem.I just thought if it was pre-installed then a system transfer might overwrite the system data with the game on it.

The system transfer should combine the “accounts” of both 3DS units, however, if for some reason, you happen to own the same software on two systems, then it’ll be overwritten (and you’ll be stuck with only 1 license for the game).

i wanted it as soon as i saw it but two things ruined it for me.
1, the gold faceplate, i would have wanted it to be black, the inside is just too much gold, however i do love the front or back haha the triforce part.

2, it already pre-loads the zelda game id rather have a physical copy and also that nifty game chest.
