Wii owners across Europe will have their chance to go to the city December 5th. The Animal Crossing game releases simultaneously with the Wii Speak channel and accessory of the same name. Friend codes make their expected return, so you will only be able to converse with those added to your friend list through the codes. The channel allows for up to 4 consoles to connect together, though many people could join in around the microphone. More inside The Wii Speak channel will display a Mii as your on-screen representation, which will ‘talk’ to match the sound picked up by the mic. The service is free, though you will need an internet connected Wii.
Wii speak will be used in future games, with early examples being Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City due out December 5 – as mentioned previously – and The Conduit, due out next year.
