The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of Nintendo’s biggest titles to date, that size game doesn’t come without a big price tag.

Speaking at Wednesday’s Annual General Meeting, Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that the game needs to sell 2 million copies worldwide to break even.

Miyamoto also confirmed that there is over 100 people working on the game right now, the credits too list over 300 people. A fair amount of them will be from Monolith Soft no doubt.

The lengthy development of Breath of the Wild is also going to have a kick-back effect on the rest of Nintendo as well. General Manager of Nintendo’s Entertainment Planning and Development Division Shinya Takahashi has said that many other smaller titles can use resources and technology from Breath of the Wild. So while it might take a while to develop this one big game, other smaller games can benefit from its creation.
