The Majesco Entertainment Company has announced the development of Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy by Budcat creations. A side scrolling shooter, Blast Works provides players the oppurtunity to craft the game to thier liking with customise levels along with allied and enemy spacecraft. Remains of ships defeated in battle can also be absorbed in order to effectively bolster your own ship’s defences.

More Inside Gamers can literally build their own shooter experience via Blast Works easy-to-use, multiple in-game editors, said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco. This exceptional customization combined with the unique stickiness of enemy debris and bright geometric graphics delivers a standout game that never plays the same way twice.

The point of this game seems to be to allow mass customisation of the play experience. While the game does feature 15 missions Blast Works appears to be more about the fun of building your own ship and campaign from scratch. How fun that proves to be will be something we’ll surely find out in the future. As a final perk the game also features compatibility for a two player co-op mode.
