How to get your Aussie Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo

Afraid you would miss out on the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demos here in Australia? Well worry no more we’ve got the details on how to get yourself a code for this special demo.

It looks like Nintendo is going down the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS route and sending out email codes to selected Club Nintendo members. Least it’s only one code this time so no more scalping of demo codes. The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version emails will be sent out from October 15th.

If you’re not a Club Nintendo member or are unlucky enough not to get a code you can get a demo from selected retailers on November 3rd. More details on that soon.

Thinking ‘How is a demo for Pokemon going to work?!’ then it’s time to again stop worrying. This is a ‘special demo’ that features a portion of gameplay that’s not in the main game. You’ll get to see how a new mega evolution works and even be able to transfer over some of the items and goodies you collect in the demo to the main game. That’s pretty neat.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire is out in Australia on November 21st.

I didn’t get the SSB demo email, but really keen to get this demo though. Is there a way to re-subscribe to AUS Club Nintendo’s emails? I must’ve un-subscribed at some point because I never receive them.

A Mega-Evolution that seems like you can’t get it elsewhere, and unique content that’s not in the game. Sounds like this demo should be free to everyone, not ‘special’ and ‘limited’. It’s how demos should be, IMO. Can’t spoil yourself if the demo is linked to but not part of the main game.

It’s pretty BS how Australia technically gets it late as not everyone gets a code early. All the surprises from the demo have most likely been revealed by then… Lucky Europe only has to send their e-mail to get a code :I
