The band Green Day will be the next music group to be given the Rock Band treatment

While disc based expansion packs are the norm for Guitar Hero players, there have only been two single band disc games for the Rock Band franchise so far. AC/DC got little more then an expansion, but The Beatles got the full work out, and this Green Day game seems to more like the latter.

Revealed during the Spike TV Video Game awards, the game will, like The Beatles Rock Band, feature the most popular songs from the Green Day library as well as the band members themselves as playable avatars in the game.

The game is due out next year on the Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Below you can find the debut trailer, featuring the band themselves.
