A Godfather sequel is on the way, according to Industry analyst Todd Greenwald. Greenwald recently visited EA in Redwood City he was told of the sequel among other things. According to Greenwald, EA spent a significant amount of dollars and time on the original Godfather game and they hope to recuperate a portion of the costs by using the game’s engine in five franchises, the first being The Simpsons.

More Inside Greenwald praised both the upcoming Simpsons title as well as MySims, an exclusive Nintendo franchise. He was quoted as saying, “”We expect continued growth this year to be driven by MySims, a new franchise for the Nintendo Wii.

“”MySims looks like it has the potential to do very well with the Nintendo demographic, especially in Japan.””
