The Virtual Console has proved a fantastic venue for reliving classic home consoles for a range of Nintendo and non-Nintendo systems even a few consoles we never got to play in Australia. That library has just received a comprehensive boost in the form of Virtual Console Arcade just announced at GDC, and available on your Wii – wait for it – right now! Arcade heavyweights SEGA, Tecmo and Namco Bandai are the first to give up their arcade offerings- which are selling for between 500 and 600 points. Full list of released and upcoming games inside.
Already available are Mappy; The Tower of Druaga; and Starforce for 500 points, whereas Gaplus will set you back 600 points. Space Harrier and Solvalou are yet to be released. The new update saves you the embarrassment of failing in building your own MAME cabinet.
